Our speakers were Mr. Twahirwa Alexander from ILO Rwanda (International Labour Organisation) and Ms. Antonia Mutoro who is Managing Director of Top Performance Africa and the first Executive Director of IPAR (Institute of Policy Analysis and Research). Ms. Sandra Shenge is Senior Manager of the Research and Impact unit at Aegis Trust and she moderated the event. The idea of the “Kigali Debates” is to create a space for scientific, interesting and evidence-based dialogue for sustainable peace and development in Rwanda. IRDP and FES Rwanda are planning to organize the “Kigali Debates” regularly (every last Thursday of the month). Interested participants from governmental and non-governmental organizations, national and international institutions are invited to join the debates, to learn and to share experiences and to be part of the open society project.

Recently the New Times published an article based on the debate and targets the risks and chances of future work in Rwanda. Read the Full Article
