Student Leaders on Sustainability and Climate Crisis

Together with Prime Biodiversity Conservation (PBC), FES Rwanda is implementing the program of Student Leaders on sustainability and climate change.

The program empowers young leaders from different Universities in Rwanda with knowledge and skills about sustainability and climate change.

The program not only engage youth into interactive sessions about climate crises, concepts and approaches, strategies at international and local levels, funding opportunities and achievements, etc.

In addition, the participants are engaged in identifying issues at country level and develop projects that that would contribute to the specific NDCs of  the country. Furthermore, they visit climate change adaptation projects on various sites, to learn from ongoing strategies’ implementation, challenges, and community engagement in the process and how they can play their role as citizens. After completing the program, the youth go back to their respective communities to empower other youth and to take climate change actions.
