FES (Friedrich Ebert Stiftung) est une fondation d’origine Allemagne, d’où elle tire son nom, on dirait le premier président allemand dont Friedrich Ebert (Stiftung / ou fondation en allemand), opère dans cent pays à travers le monde et 10 bureaux de travail en Afrique subsaharienne. Au Rwanda, la FES travaillait avec les journalistes qui traitent les articles en économie, et d’autres domaines.
S’adressant à la presse Rwandaise, le Directeur Régional, Mr Oliver Dalichau a déclaré que la formation de 24 jeunes Rwandais s’inscrit dans le but de renforcement des capacités en leadership ancré au contexte socio-politique du pays.
Le Directeur Régional poursuit en disant en ces termes : « Ce programme s’appelle Young Citizen Program, et nous allons commencer de travailler avec 24 jeunes rwandais, 12 femmes et 12 hommes, qui viennent de différents horizons. Il y a des participants de la société civile rwandaise, des collègues qui travaillent de différents ministères, mais aussi des agriculteurs et des syndicalistes et autres »
Quant à Mr Muhire, le Coordinateur des activités de FES, a réitéré que les neuf mois que va durer la formation, les jeunes recrus, apprendront sur des différents thèmes ; dont l’éthique sur la citoyenneté, le rôle du citoyen dans son développement, le changement climatique ou l’intégration régionale ou la protection sociale et l’économie, donc l’Ethique est importante pour chaque société et fait partie aussi de ce programme, poursuit le Directeur Régional.
Ces jeunes sélectionnés sont d’entre 20 et 30 ans, donc limite d’âge, malgré que la formation pareille est importante pour toute personne, en particulier ce programme est réservé au jeunes.
